Maintenance & Care
- Self-clean before entering: Rinse off to prevent dirt and debris from entering the tub.
- Wear shoes to & from the tub: Removing shoes before entering helps prevent mud, dirt, and grass from your plunge.
- Cover with Stay Cool Lid: The lid prevents debris like leaves and dirt from entering the tub and maintain water temperature.
- Clean tub regularly: We recommend changing the water once per month, and replacing the water filter monthly. View instructions for water & filter maintenance here.
- Replace cloudy water: If the water becomes cloudy, drain and replace both the water and water filter.

How do I drain the Viking?
The Viking features a sloped floor design for effortless draining. A drain valve is located at the bottom port, allowing you to connect a garden hose for easy water removal. When it is time to drain the unit, follow these steps:
- Unplug the chiller
- Close both grey isolation valves
- Connect a garden hose to the bottom drain valve
- Open the drain valve to release the water from the system
Please note that after refilling the Viking, you will need to reopen both grey isolation valves and plug the chiller back in to resume operation.
How cold can I set the temperature?
The coldest temperature setting is 35° Fahrenheit with both the Standard and Elite Chillers.
Will the Viking fit through doorways or on a balcony?
Yes, the Viking tubs can fit through standard doors, but it’s important to measure first: the Classic Viking is 30 inches wide and will comfortably fit through most residential doors, which are typically 32 inches wide, while the XL Viking is 33 inches wide and may require a 34-inch or wider opening—more common in commercial settings where doors are usually 36 inches wide. Always verify your specific doorway width before ordering.
Can I plug the chiller into a standard wall outlet?
